triangle global health annual conference
October 16, 2019

Join us for the 2019 Triangle Global Health Annual Conference on Wednesday, October 16 in Durham, North Carolina! Our 2019 theme is One Health: Creating our Shared Future -- Humans, Animals, and the Environment.

This program will provide an opportunity for thought leaders, innovators, policy makers, students, and researchers to share their One Health experience and questions, with the goal of advancing the use of global health and public health tools to achieve sustainable wellbeing for all. The program sessions will include a mix of speakers, panels, workshops, and poster sessions which showcase current One Health best practices and encourage attendees and presenters to engage around key issues impacting human, animal, and environmental health across a spectrum of application areas.
We look forward to exploring the role of One Health in advancing global health and hope you will join us!

We invite you to submit your proposals for panel discussions, workshops, story-telling, a challenge question, and poster sessions. See the abstract submission links below to be considered for the 2019 Conference.

The submission deadline for Poster Presentations and the One Health Challenge Question has been extended to Friday, August 23 at 5 pm ET.

1. Poster Presentation

Poster presentations provide a visual display of your project. Selected poster presentations will have dedicated space for display during the conference.

2. Challenge Question (5 minutes, 3 slides)

One Health is a broad concept with many aspects. We’d like to hear what you think matters most about it—and more importantly—your suggestion for how to make it work for global health. Submit a brief abstract with your answer. We’ll choose the most thought-provoking, exciting, and innovative ideas. Then we’ll give you the stage to share yours with all our conference attendees. Think big, think specific, think creative, think health!
Review and Notification Process
Submissions will be reviewed by the TGHC Conference Committee and judged based on relevance to the global health community, connection to the theme of the conference, innovation and quality.
If you submit a poster or Challenge Question abstract, you will be notified by Sunday, September 15 on the status of your submission.
